Saving Christmas

It’s time to face reality! There is no question that Christianity and any mention of God are under fierce attack by Atheists and Humanists. So, why are most people who call themselves Christians simply acting like this is not happening; talk about the “silent majority”! Unless we become proactive in fighting this miserable movement of ‘non-believers’ Christmas will be banned forever. I am sick and tired of the attempts to wipe out Christ from Christmas, which in all cases is coming from a small minority of people in the U.S.A. They like to pretend that this country does not have a history of God being a major theme in its formation and growth into the World’s greatest society.

American society and family values are under ferocious and constant attack by those who can best be described as lawless and God haters. What I want to know is, if they don’t believe there is a God why are they so intent on erasing all aspects of reference to a divine being? Also, whatever happened to the concept of majority rule? If Americans claim to be believers in God, as according to the national polls they do, shouldn’t they simply tell the God haters to “shut up” and quit complaining. Because schools have become so devoid of Godly values a large number of Christians have chosen to home-school their children. So I think it’s only appropriate for those who don’t like any mention of God in schools (of which there is very little) why don’t they home-school there children too?

And, why should we remain silent as these God haters complain about Christmas or Easter? These are not their holidays! Their seasonal griping about displays of faith during our holiday and incessant attempts to get these displays made unlawful, based on a misreading of the Constitution, should be actively protested by Christians. But they know we won’t do this because we’re ‘nice’ and forgiving and turn the other cheek and love our enemies. Where in the Scriptures does it teach Christians to love the Devil and those who serve him? Even the idea of them setting up anti-displays in the same area as ours is ludicrous! The Bible says, “Resist the Devil and he will flee…”

Of course, a lot of their actions wouldn’t succeed if not for the liberal media outlets giving them a ‘voice’ and encouraging such behavior. For instance, during the December 20th broadcast of NBC’s Evening News Brian Williams reported on what the network called “The War on Christmas”, in which various anti-Christmas actions occurring across the country were highlighted. In effect the media owners are silently ‘clapping’ in approval of the anti-Christmas movement. If the silent majority of Christians raised a real fuss about these endless attacks you can be sure the media wouldn’t pay much mention. The reason is most of those in the media don’t believe in God so it’s little wonder they give the God haters such positive exposure.

It is past time for born again and dedicated Christians to organize on the national level and fight back – to make our voice heard in such a way we will become what the Bible says we should be, “… more than overcomers”. We need to make ourselves heard and thereby force the media to pay attention to us. In addition, there are numerous legal organizations whose purpose is to take on legal issues to defend Christianity. We need to put these Christian lawyers to work and go to court each and every time someone attacks Christians, Christmas or Easter. It is time to quit playing the Martyr card and punch the Devil in the nose for once and for all eternity!  You tell me where in the Bible it says we are to be victims and not fight back when attacked by the Devil?

By this time next year I want to see a million or more Christians assembled on the grounds of the national mall along the reflecting pool in Washington, D.C. raising their voice in support of the real meaning of Christmas – the celebration of Christ’s birth. It is not about Santa Claus, Christmas Trees, and school plays, merchants making big bucks or equal rights. It’s our ‘holiday’ and not a secular holiday and we need to make this very, very clear to the world.
