The Pope is a “Poopy Head”

Most parents are familiar with the phrase “you’re a poopy head”. It is often used by young children to inform their parent that they are not happy when the parent chastises them or requires them to behave or denied them child of something they ‘want’. In short it simply says to the parent – you made a choice that ‘stinks’ and your brain is full of feces and I’m disgusted with you. Though a child usually acts based on self centered reasons, at least they can tell when a decision or statement made by the parent lacks clear thinking. Being a ‘poopy head’ is not a good thing!

When I was serving in the armed forces enlisted people used a more direct phrase which implies the same thing. They’d say that someone who made a dumb decision or statement had “shit for brains”. I apologize for using the ‘S’ word but you need to understand exactly what the phrase declares about the basis from which the thinking, statement or decision arose – in effect, the thinking process was based on having no brains at all. So what has the Pope done that this phrase is appropriate for His Holiness?

To many people in the world the Pope is ‘The’ authorized spokesman for God and thus his actions, statements or decisions are ‘what God approves of’ – and the Catholic Church clearly teaches that the Pope is the Vicar of Christ on this Earth. A majority of Catholics accept his position as the leader of the Kingdom of God on Earth and regard his actions and words as ‘gospel’ and adopt his teachings as the correct way to live the Christian life. Like blind sheep they follow his leading because they are often ignorant of what the Bible teaches. In addition, they forget he is a human being like them and like them responds with ‘crappy’ thinking on many issues. Just as the child is motivated by selfish thinking so is most of mankind – the Pope is no exception. The Pope’s primary goal is to preserve the ‘kingdom’ of the Catholic Church (as history has shown over and over again), the goal of reaching the lost and preaching Jesus as God is not a high priority by any means. Proclaiming Jesus as Lord is offensive to those who follow ‘other gods’, it brings conflict upon the one doing the proclaiming.  The Pope wants to avoid anything that results in anger or hatred towards his kingdom and thus seeks to appease those who follow false religions. The greatest enemy of Christ is the Muslim world and its leaders. Recently the Pope got into ‘hot’ water with the Islamics when he told the truth about their founders methods of evangelism and his teachings.

When the Muslim world responded in pure anger and hatred what did the Pope do? He knew that unless he said something to appease the Islamics Catholic churches would be attacked with a vengeance and Catholics everywhere would be in mortal danger. Remember, the Pope’s goal is to preserve his kingdom and not that of God. Even though he had spoken ‘truth’ he rolled over like a ‘disobedient’ puppy seeking forgiveness. And like a dog he began to seek favor from those who were angry with him – he wants no conflict and will do anything to prevent it. He is a ‘coward for Jesus’ and is motivated by self interest rather than the command to make disciples for Christ. Thus the Pope did the very thing which God condemns; like the Jews have done over and over again when they ignore their covenant with God and disobey His commandments. Instead of preaching against false religions he ‘got in bed’ with the Islmaists and committed spiritual ‘adultery’. To refresh your memory, or make you aware for the first time of his actions, I’ll quote from a news report by Brian Murphey, AP Religion Writer dated November 30, 2006. The report is entitled: Pope Prays with Cleric at Turkey Mosque.

"Pope Benedict XVI joined an Islamic cleric in prayers under the towering dome of Istanbul's most famous mosque Thursday in a powerful gesture seeking to transform his image among Muslims from adversary to peacemaker. The pope's minute of prayer was done in silence, but the message of reconciliation was designed to resonate loudly nearly three months after he provoked worldwide fury for remarks on violence and the Prophet Muhammad. This visit will help us find together the way of peace for the good of all humanity, the pope said inside the 17th-century Blue Mosque — in only the second papal visit in history to a Muslim place of worship. Benedict's predecessor, John Paul II, made a brief stop in a mosque in Syria in 2001. Benedict's steps through a stone archway and into the mosque's carpeted expanse capped a day of deep symbolism and lofty goals. Hours earlier, he stood beside the spiritual leader of the world's Orthodox Christians and passionately encouraged steps to end the nearly 1,000-year divide between their churches."

Now I ask you, is this not appeasement? The Pope clearly ‘worshipped’ in the temple of a false religion and in the process denied Christ, His saving work on the Cross, and the teachings of the Bible. But, as the article points out, he was not the first Pope to walk into a Mosque – a place where those who deny Jesus worship a false god. Of course, since this was a ‘goodwill tour’ he made a point of visiting the leader of those known as Orthodox Christians; this ‘group’ came into being from a split between the church of Rome and that of Constantinople – one that has lasted a 1,000 years, or more.

But the Pope’s sin was greater than a simple visit to the ‘holy place’ of another religion, as the article makes clear, "The pope walked to the mosque after touring another majestic tribute to faith: the 1,500-year-old Haghia Sofia and its remarkable mix of Quranic calligraphy and Christian mosaics from its legacy as a marvel of early Christianity and then a coveted prize of Islam's expansion. At the mosque, the pope removed his shoes and put on white slippers. Then he walked beside Mustafa Cagrici, the head cleric of Istanbul. Facing the holy city of Mecca — in the tradition of Islamic worship — Cagrici said: "Now I'm going to pray." Benedict, too, bowed his head and his lips moved as if reciting words. Before the pope left, he thanked Cagrici "for this moment of prayer.".

The Pope had bowed down to a false God and thereby sanctioned Islam’s ‘victory’ over Christian believers and Christ’s church. The Pope, by this action, brought shame on himself and basically told the ‘devil’, Hey, let’s just get along and be friends – I don’t want any trouble from you, so leave my kingdom alone. Instead of standing up for the Gospel of Christ and the Kingdom of God he cowardly bowed down to Satan! The Pope brought shame on those who died for their faith in Christ, not being willing to do the same, which declared to his followers Jesus is not God. He might as well have said - All religions lead to heaven.

In 1965 I became a Catholic so I could marry my sweetheart. She and her parents were Catholic and demanded that I convert in order to marry her. At the time I was less than a ‘nominal’ Christian and saw no problem in becoming a Catholic instead of a Protestant. In 1972, as the Holy Spirit was moving mightily among Catholics, we were both filled with the Spirit and spoke in tongues. I began to truly study the Word of God and in doing so saw that the teachings of the Catholic ‘faith’ were false and were holding us in bondage to the traditions of men. Indeed, You shall know the Truth and the Truth will set you free! Shortly after the Baptism in the Holy Spirit we left the Catholic Church*. In 1973 I was ordained and became a spiritual ‘soldier’ in God’s army and ever since have willingly engaged in war against the enemies of Jesus. The Pope is clearly an enemy of Christ. The Pope’s behavior and decision making regarding the Muslim world clearly shows that he is, indeed, a Poopy Head. I urge you not to follow in his footsteps because, as in no other time in human history, we are being called upon to follow Jesus no matter the cost, we must stand against Islam and double our efforts to take the Gospel to the lost. To do otherwise is to deny Christ as Lord and God and that His sacrifice on the Cross was of no significance to the world. We know better!

Always remember what Jesus said, “And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake; but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.” And “Then they shall deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.” And “…this Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” (Matthew 10:22, 24:9 and 14). There is no room in God’s kingdom for cowards or Poopy Heads!

* being filled with the Holy Spirit requires you to live a holy life. Unfortunately in 1992 my wife chose to enter back into the sinful world (it may have begun years earlier) and went to bars, chased men and committed adultery. Of course, I would not stand for this situation so, when she wanted a divorce, I agreed as all the praying and crying before the Lord failed to get her to see the error of her ways.
